Residents may learn if you can qualify, how much you’ll need to fundraise, what the dog area will legally have to look like, and find out through your Alderman and neighborhood association and park advisory council if it is possible (in the past, 1st Ward Alderman and Chicago Park District told neighbors multiple times that we have no available land that fits the rules in our immediate area)—ALL Chicago Park District rules below. Please note: A Park Advisory Council (PAC) is responsible for maintaining and working with established neighborhood parks and is not the proper agency for forming a dog friendly area for residents; interested residents must form a group and do this on their own through the Chicago Park District.
